Designer Siraj Sanad (Saudi Arabia) Spring 2011 New York Couture Fashion Week. In his first appearance at Couture Fashion Week, award-winning fashion designer Siraj Sanad will present his latest collection of men’s and women’s designs. The fashion show will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday September 12, 2010 in the renowned Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria on Park Avenue, New York City. A native of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Sanad studied at the Higher Institute for Financial and Commercial Sciences in Jeddah before going on to work in several fields including teaching, management and marketing. He later studied marketing and public relations in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mr. Sanad is considered to be one of the most influential fashion designers in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, with clients including famous Middle Eastern singers Yuri Marqadi, Rabeh Saqr, Rashed Al-Majed, Abbas Ibrahim, Mohammad Khalawi, Abdul Majeed Abdullah and Mohammed Abdu, and Cameroonian soccer star Samuel Eto as well as many major figures in the arts and sports arenas, top businessmen, politicians and other VIPs. In 2005 Mr. Sanad was commissioned by HRH Prince Sultan Bin Fahd to design outfits for the first Islamic Solidarity Games and he created 3000 garments within 20 days for the event.
