    How can he be so pro-computer, and yet say video games cannot be art? Rather inconsistent, especially given at one point movies would not have been considered capable of being art either.

  2. dongmaster2 Says:

    @schbibik Actually MAYBE I WILL.

  5. dongmaster2 Says:

    He said video games can never be art. He is a deformed abomination and should be smote with fire and cast asunder our steel chariots so his broken body should be flayed by their fury.

    Mr and Mrs Ebert should be an inspiration to everyone, abled, differently abled, and disabled. This evolution of communication is not a static thing, and who knows what the future holds? I’m all for any technology that enables human beings to connect and communicate effectively. I’ll never take my voice nor the resilliance of the human spirit for granted again. Thank You for your courage and grace in sharing your journey, Mr. Ebert.

    He’s a great guy and it’s really sad that this happened to him. I’m glad he’s still doing his thing though, I still like his reviews.

  21. covertcovenant Says:

    @ImAllFact I suppose it is, but at the end of the day, to put up with such hardship, and of course, over the course of so many years, I doubt that this is reflective or along the lines of pulling a “Nicole Smith” or a “Ivanka Trump”.

  22. ImAllFact Says:

    @covertcovenant Well, Ebert is rich and famous. That is a real pull-factor for women.

  25. gaiagale Says:

    @infpdarling upon reading your comment “I would be investing in asbestos if I were you.” I thought ‘clever’ and … sort of an after thought ‘how would that work anyway’ …ahhh ‘humourous’
