Cute that you’re someone encouraging men to work on their image, attempting to make them dress classier and with more style, while you didn’t even take the time to shave for this video. Classy men, true gentlemen, shave.

This video I almost completely disagree with. The knot you tie depends on the collar you wear and the size of the tie as well as the width of your suit lapel. If you wear a full windsor with a slim fit suit w/ narrow lapels and small collar, it looks very off. If you have a small head, a full windsor may look quite strange. If you do anything other than a four-in-hand with a narrow tie(not slim) it looks ridiculous.

A narrow tie(not slim) may not fill the neck in a spread collar shirt regardless of the knot but the standard width is okay. But using the Full Windsor with any other combination of tie width or collar size is actually overdoing it because you are overfilling the collar.
I can’t help but think of James Bond’s quip that the Windsor knot is the sign of a cad.

That know you are wearing is it a half windsor or full windsor?
September 6th, 2010 at 7:26 pm
As far as I know, properly made half windsor knot is a symetrical.
September 6th, 2010 at 7:36 pm
In total agreement on tie knots They are best imo with symmetrical knots..I don’t like to see knots not tightened or left to one side and I keep re-tying mine ’til I have both ends the same length (I think I’ll take a chill pill LOL.)

The less complicated knots aren’t out there for people who are too unfashionable to tie, for example, a full windsor, but they are much easier on your necktie.
Especially if you are wearing ties the whole day, the windsor will cause them wrinkles after a period of time. That looks very very ugly and is annoying if you have some favorite ties/ bought them for 50 euros.
And very important, too: Not every knot fits to all collars and ties.

it’s true…i roll my eyes every time i see a douchebag with a lousy tie knot. on top of that, some times they will look like a total asshole with the wrong tie length!

“Visual streamline down to the ankles”? In one of ur other vids u said it doesn’t stop at the ankles but to the toes meaning the feet also..
September 7th, 2010 at 1:09 am
skinny ties are good to wear with jeans and a dress shirt… but if you’re wearing a suit you should always go with the full windsor
September 7th, 2010 at 1:20 am
Cute. But I don’t want someone else to teach me how to tie a Windsor!
September 7th, 2010 at 1:53 am
